From simple beginnings as a bacon factory in 1968 to evolving into Meat Products of India Ltd. (MPI) as our official name in 1973, our journey has been defined by progress and excellence over the years. MPI has always stayed ahead with ultra-modern advancements and sustainable practices, by establishing modern poultry processing plant, slaughterhouses, value-added products production facility, pig farm etc.. . Combining tradition with technology, MPI continues to deliver safe, wholesome, and delicious meat products that customers can trust, constantly setting a benchmark in the industry.

The objectives are as follows:
- Increase per capita availability of quality meat in the state.
- Support farmers through buy back schemes.
- Production of quality feed supplement – fertilizer to support the farmers in Kerala.

- Ensure continuous supply of hygienically processed meat and meat products for the non vegetarian population of Kerala.
- Help in improving nutritional status of the people by providing good quality meat at reasonable price.
